  Program for Schools
  Dear Teachers,

It would be a great pleasure to greet you and your class at the Fondation Beyeler. Our museum is a unique location for encounters with fine art. It provides an opportunity for school classes to admire masterpieces of Classical Modernism and works of contemporary art, and to learn more about them on guided tours and in special workshops.

Thanks to a generous donation on the part of Mrs. Sibylla M. and Dr. Christoph M. Müller, all tours and workshops for school classes will be free of charge in 2010. You need only pay admission fees (school classes from Basel and environs and children to the age of 10 have free admission).

For security and organizational reasons, we kindly request you to observe the attached guidelines before your visit (see below). We hope you will appreciate that only a limited number of school classes can be admitted per day, because the number of groups and individuals simultaneously visiting the museum is of crucial importance.

We wish you and your class an exciting stay and an unforgettable experience of art at the Fondation Beyeler.

  Rules of Registration
  Written application
Please submit a written application at least two weeks prior to your planned visiting day. The application should include the following information:
Desired visiting date and time, number and age of pupils, number of accompanying persons, and school address in full. Please use the online-form (see below).
If the desired date is no longer available, we will contact you in order to arrange an alternative date.

Confirmation
An application is valid only with confirmation in writing from the Fondation Beyeler.
This confirmation should be presented unasked at the cashier’s desk on the day of your visit.

Classes without Appointment
Classes without prior appointments have to pay an administrative fee of CHF 30.– (EUR 20.–). Furthermore, they may find that they cannot be admitted to the museum if all school class appointments are already booked. If admission is possible nonetheless, your class may have to expect some waiting time.

Group Size
A maximum of 25 pupils and two accompanying persons, and a maximum of two classes simultaneously, are admissible. Larger groups may visit the museum in shifts.

Restriction
During the art fair ART40 Basel (8-14 June 2009), no school visits are possible!
